Bonnet House Museum and Gardens is a long-standing cornerstone of South Florida’s rich history. Originally constructed in 1920, The Bonnet House now serves as a wedding venue for couples who wish to plan a wedding with expansive views of the turquoise waters of the Atlantic.
Bonnet House Wedding
The Bonnet House provides a stunning outdoor wedding day experience. Your day begins as you pass through the towering gates. Inside, you and your guests will be greeted by over 35 acres of beautiful, lush gardens lined with tropical foliage. The grounds are accented by antique stone fountains and statues. All in all, allowing you to curate a lavish wedding day whether intimate or grand.
Bonnet House Wedding Cost
There are a few pricing structures that facilitate a Bonnet House wedding. The venue offers a ceremony-only experience or an all-in-one ceremony and reception experience. I have broken down the costs of each, below.
Ceremony
For a ceremony-only wedding at Bonnet House, they offer a one-hour experience. Additionally, the venue provides an additional hour of access to the property one hour before your ceremony for portraits with your wedding photographer. Your Bonnet House wedding ceremony also comes with a dedicated bridal assistant, ceremony hostess, and free, ample parking for your guests.
The total cost of a Bonnet House wedding ceremony is priced to accommodate the total number of guests in attendance. Below is a more detailed rate structure.
- $750 – for weddings with up to 10 guests
- $1,000 – for weddings with 11-25 guests
- $1,500 – for weddings with 26-50 guests
- $2,000 – for weddings with 51-75 guests
- $2,500 – for weddings with 75-100 guests
- $3,000 – for weddings with 101-150 guests
- $3,500 – for weddings with 151-200 guests
- $4,000 – for weddings with 201-250 guests
All wedding ceremonies also require a $1,000 fully refundable security deposit. Additionally, a $100 Bonnet House couple’s membership is required for all weddings. Lastly, all wedding ceremonies held at Bonnet House come with a rehearsal, which is complimentary if scheduled from the hours of 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Ceremony-only weddings are not available at Bonnet House from October through May on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays.
Ceremony & Reception
For an all-in-one wedding day at Bonnet House, the venue offers a package that includes your ceremony, reception, and rehearsal. I have detailed their comprehensive rate structure, as well as opportunities for a discounted rate for your wedding, in the grid below.

Amenities
Your all-in-one wedding day experience also comes with the following amenities.
- Exclusive use of Bonnet House Estate for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (4 hours)
- Access to the property for portraits two hours before your ceremony
- Private use of the upstairs getting-ready suite two hours before your ceremony
- Ceremony and front door hostess
- Tram transportation for your guests between the parking lot and the Main House
- Free parking
- Two hours for set up and one hour for clean up
All weddings also require a $1,000 fully refundable security deposit. Additionally, a $100 Bonnet House couple’s membership is required for all weddings. If you need to add additional hours to your wedding day, Bonnet House offers the option to schedule added time in advance at the rate of $1,500 per hour. For weddings taking place in the months of October through April a tenting fee of $2200 will apply. Lastly, all wedding ceremonies held at Bonnet House come with a rehearsal, which is complimentary if scheduled between the hours of 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Bonnet House also offers a 15% discount to couples who wish to host their wedding on a Friday or Sunday from November through April. A 40% discount applies to weddings hosted on a Friday or Sunday during the months of May through October.
Fort Lauderdale Wedding Venue with Overnight Accommodations
Bonnet House offers the option of overnight accommodations for couples who choose to host their wedding on their expansive grounds. You will be given exclusive use of the venue as well as the estate, overnight. The upstairs suite will be filled with lush amenities for your use. The morning after your wedding, breakfast for two will be served on the Chickee Bridge so you can take in the views of the grounds once more before your departure.
