I am so excited to FINALLY write this blog. Shelby & Jacob have been my neighbors for almost 3 1/2 years. I had the opportunity to photograph her brother’s wedding in 2020. These two are the most hardworking individuals. They live a very simple life and take nothing for granted. They are the neighbors and friends that everyone dreams about.
I could not dream up a more perfect day than Shelby & Jacob’s wedding day at Jacob’s family farm in De Soto, MO. In the days before their wedding, you could feel the chilly fall air coming, but this day felt like summer was still holding on. Something about October weddings that I am just in love with. The air is chilly in the morning but by mid-afternoon, with the sun shining, the temperatures are warm and comfortable. There was not a cloud in the sky and the sun was shining brightly through the many trees that surrounded the property. The property was picturesque. Jacob’s mother has been fighting lupus & pneumonia for the past 3 weeks and was able to break out of the hospital to see her son marry the love of his life.
If you are around these two for more than 5 minutes you will feel not only the love they have for one another but the genuine interest and care they have for anybody that they meet. They are two very special people.
Shelby & Jacob, no one deserves this perfect day more than the two of you. I am so beyond happy that I got to be there to witness the beginning of your next big adventure. Thank you a million times over for being so incredible and making me feel like I was one of the family. I hope this new adventure together gets better each and every day. Your joy is contagious and I absolutely loved being surrounded by it on your wedding day. Cheers to many more decades of love and happiness!
XOXO – Brianna
