Thalatta Estate History

Originally constructed in 1926, Thalatta Estate is a Mediterranean Revival-style home. The stunning two-story property stretches across four acres and provides direct views of Biscayne National Park. The adjacent park is home to local plants and wildlife, making the estate a reprieve from the fast past of the city. Today, Thalatta Estate writes its own narrative of history offering a breathtaking outdoor wedding venue where couples can be joined together in marriage while savoring the best of Biscayne Bay.

Thalatta Estate Wedding

When planning your wedding at Thalatta Estate, there are a few important notes that you should know in advance.

Hiring a Planner

Hiring a wedding planner is not required, however, it is strongly recommended. A licensed and insured wedding planner will be able to easily oversee and communicate with all of your wedding vendors on your behalf, including, rentals and catering. This will alleviate your stress and ensure that your Thalatta Estate wedding day vision is brought to life.

Catering

The venue does not offer onsite catering, so you will need to hire a talented team to craft your wedding menu and oversee your food and beverage service. The venue offers a well-equipped kitchen for your preferred caterer to access and the venue is phenomenal at coordinating an easy experience for caterers to ensure a smooth and flawless wedding day dining experience.

Tenting

If you wish to dance under the stars on the night of your wedding, but you don’t exactly want to dine under the stars, you do have the option to tent the grounds for your reception. However, tenting is not included in the overall wedding packages and will need to be coordinated with an additional rental company of your choosing.

Thalatta Estate Photos

The venue offers many locations on its grounds for your wedding photo experience. While the interior of the estate is typically closed for receptions, you can access the interior as part of your photography experience. Additionally, the venue provides two different getting-ready suites.
