Kenneth and Allison chose their wedding venue, Red Oak Valley in Owensville, MO to host the most memorable day of their lives. Their love story dates all the way back to their high school history class. At the time, Allison was a sophomore and Kenneth was a junior. One fateful day, Kenneth switched his seat so he could be at Allison’s table. From there, Allison and Kenneth started to experience all the milestone moments of high school together. They attended every football game, basketball game, semi-formal, and prom, by each other’s side. But, as school drew to a close, they both went their separate ways.
A love story that began in high school
As fate would have it, they reconnected two years later. Cherishing what they found in each other during their formative years in high school, they decided to make it official once more. During a star gazing date at Table Rock Lake, Kenneth asked Allison to stand by his side once more, as his girlfriend. Allison later described the experience of that moment as holding the same weight and emotion as the moment Kenneth proposed, which wouldn’t happen until three years later.
Two moves and one journey through nursing school later, Kenneth was officially ready to ask for Allison’s hand in marriage. When the warmth of the summer months began to roll in, plans were being laid by Allison to host a housewarming party. Little did she know, that Kenneth was secretly laying plans of his own. The couple was showing their friends and family all of the new tricks that their dog, Jack had learned. During Jack’s final run, he set out to retrieve one very special item, Allison’s engagement ring.
When Jack returned, Kenneth got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. With all of their family and friends in attendance, Kenneth was nervous and Allison was in tears. They both described this moment as one of the most memorable moments in their lives. Filled with anticipation, they couldn’t wait to be joined with their family and friends once more, this time at Red Oak Valley wedding venue, where they would come together as husband and wife.
